Since our inception in 2007, StreetGames has been an active champion and innovator in the community sport sector. On a day-to-day basis we are led by CEO Jane Ashworth OBE.

We are fortunate to have a Board of Trustees, led by Chair Amanda Sater, which possesses considerable expertise and experience in the sector. StreetGames also has an Advisory Board which is made up of leading figures from across the business world.

All members of both leadership groups are passionate about StreetGames, sharing our three-pronged mission to change sport, change communities and change lives.

Equality Statement

STREETGAMES UK LTD (SGUK) is founded on the basis of improving equality of opportunity, specifically equality of access to sport for people living in disadvantaged areas. SGUK is committed to the principles of equality and preventing discrimination and will treat people with dignity and respect. It will promote equality in recruitment, employment and management of staff and trustees and in the delivery of its services. In managing its services SGUK will promote equality across all of its work and in particular ensure that:

  • No employee, job applicant or person using or seeking to use the services and activities of StreetGames UK Ltd is unfairly discriminated against either directly or indirectly, on any grounds.  This includes on the grounds of their age, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, marriage and civil partnership, disability, ethnicity, pregnancy and maternity, religion or belief (Protected Characteristics outlined within the Equality Act 2010)
  • It systematically collects information regarding all of the Protected Characteristics from its Board, staff, partners and projects on a voluntary basis in order to accurately assess the make-up of its organisation and service and, where appropriate, to develop positive action programmes that target any under-represented groups to ensure representation that is reflective of the communities we serve.
  • The Board will seek to achieve greater diversity in its membership, including, but not limited to, Black, Asian, minority ethnic (BAME) diversity and disability.
  • The Board will seek to achieve gender parity in terms of numbers of trustees and there will at all times be at least 30% female membership (4 trustees) on the Board.

The Board will review and approve the new StreetGames Equality and Diversity Action Plan. Subject to this being confirmed as compliant with the Code for Sports Governance, it will be published within one week of approval.
