This summer, StreetGames delivered a second Young Volunteers Residential for the London and South East network - funded by Berkeley Foundation.

Hosted at the beautiful Green Park site, in Aylesbury, there were several StreetGames projects who attended the three-day personal development and training opportunity.

Over the course of the residential, the volunteers were able to take part in a variety of outdoor activities and social engagement sessions all planned and delivered by a team of fantastic StreetGames Young Advisors.

The purpose of the residential was to enable each volunteer to build confidence, self-esteem, meet new people and gain valuable leadership skills to support their development within their own communities and projects; in addition to this, every young volunteer completed a new Park Life activator while on the residential.

The young volunteers who attended made huge progress over the three days, with many overcoming the fears they held prior to arrival.

StreetGames staff on the residential said it was a "privilege to work with such young people". The young people developed friendships and the experience of this residential will live long in the memory.
