Using Sport England’s Active People Survey 6 and learning from the StreetGames network we have prepared a series of briefing papers across 15 sports on rates of participation and social class. The papers also provide examples of best practice for what works well in a StreetGames doorstep sport setting.

StreetGames case study

Street Golf has been designed by StreetGames and The Golf Foundation with the help of young people from StreetGames settings. The Street Golf format aims to bring golf to young people regardless of their access to traditional facilities. Using golf equipment in an urban environment to create fun and engaging challenges and games is at the heart of Street Golf.

World Health Organization blueprint

StreetGames features as a case study in this publication by the World Health Organization. We are used to illustrate the importance of 'right cost' amongst a range of factors that the blueprint advises are essential when looking to get more young people active and playing sport.

StreetGames research

This research aimed to gather information about badminton from a range of StreetGames and Us Girls projects throughout England in order to identify what is working well, identify key learning points and key challenges for projects. The findings in this report have been based on the responses from ten phone interviews - six Us Girls projects and four StreetGames projects.
