World Health Organization blueprint
StreetGames features as a case study in this publication by the World Health Organization. We are used to illustrate the importance of 'right cost' amongst a range of factors that the blueprint advises are essential when looking to get more young people active and playing sport.
Department of Health (DH) – DH is the department of the UK government with responsibility for government policy for health and social care matters and for the NHS in England, along with a few elements of the same matters which are not otherwise devolved to the Scottish, Welsh or Northern Irish governments
v – v is an independent charity which aims to inspire a new generation of volunteers (aged 16-25) in England. It does this by funding voluntary organisations all over England to create inspiring, diverse opportunities and by helping to overcome barriers that stop people from taking action to improve lives, communities and the planet. Its aim is to create a culture where volunteering comes naturally – and where the benefits of volunteering are understood and celebrated.
Amateur Boxing Association of England (ABAE) – The ABAE is the only national governing body for boxing recognised by Sport England. It is responsible for the governance, development and administration of boxing in schools, clubs and competition. It also represents England as a member of the Amateur International Boxing Association (AIBA) and the European Boxing Council (EUBC).
Sport England - Sport England is the brand name for the English Sports Council and is a non-departmental public body under the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. Its role is to build the foundations of a community sport system by working with national governing bodies of sport, and other funded partners, to grow the number of people doing sport; sustain participation levels; and help more talented people from all backgrounds excel by identifying them early, nurturing them, and helping them move up to the elite level.
