StreetGames hosted its inaugural corporate Golf Day last Thursday (27th September) at the picturesque Hampton Court Golf Club (pictured, above), supported by the Golf Foundation.

Seventeen four-man teams, including representatives from Grant Thornton, Onside Law, AELTC and Skills Active lined up for an early afternoon ‘Shotgun start’. In contrast to the recent weather, the players were treated to near perfect golfing conditions and it was the team from Grant Thornton (pictured, below) which took full advantage, completing a clean sweep of Closest to the Pin, Best Individual and Team prizes. The remaining prize of Longest Drive went to former British number one tennis player Jeremy Bates.

The day was part of StreetGames’ drive to improve awareness of doorstep sport within the corporate sector, and follows on from our successful Not the Black Tie Dinner, which was held at the Oval earlier this year in May.
