Two dance crews from StreetGames projects were given a once-in-a-lifetime experience when they performed in the Olympic Park on the final weekend of London 2012.

London 2012 asked StreetGames to provide young entertainers for the crowds in the Park and The Carrie Hanson Dance Academy, from Middleton in Manchester, and Earl Dance Centre, from Oldham, were chosen from a strong list of applicants.

Despite the 5:00am start and an unscheduled hold up on the M1 around Milton Keynes, the two groups couldn’t have asked for a better day as the sun shone and the crowds were out in force, ready to be entertained as they made their way from venue to venue.

They performed their routines at a number of sites on the Park, including on the famous spotty bridge with the spectacular backdrop of the Olympic Stadium and the Orbit.
