StreetGames presents to Improving Public Health conference

Paul Jarvis, StreetGames’ Strategic Lead for Sport and Health, spoke at the Improving Public Health conference in London.

The conference looked at the Department of Health White Paper, Healthy Lives, Healthy People, and investigated the work that is being done on the ground, taking a practical perspective on public health policy and examining how collaboration can achieve real results.

Healthy Lives, Healthy People was published by the Government towards the end of 2010 and set out its long-term vision for the future of public health in England.

Paul discussed the impact StreetGames is having on the health of young people living in disadvantaged communities. He covered how StreetGames plans and delivers sessions, as well as how the impact of sessions is measured.
