Earlier this month, The Golf Foundation announced an exciting new funding opportunity for organisations looking to include the game as part of their youth provision. Funded by HSBC and The Gerald Micklem Charitable Trust, Golf Roots PLUS is now seeking applications from a wide variety of community-facing educational, social and/or health-based projects, in particular - those with an interest in the many life-skill benefits of the game.

HSBC Golf Roots Plus represents a key element of the Golf Foundation's ongoing 'Golf for All' initiative, which has already seen many disadvantaged communities throughout the UK given their first opportunities to play the game.

Applicants may apply for up to £1,500 of funding, with initial applications closing on Friday 5th July. (Please note a second application window will open from 02/09/19 - 07/10/19).

Applicants are also advised to read the following criteria before making their application.

'An HSBC Golf Roots Plus project should, among other criteria, reflect the core values of the Golf Foundation, to:
• be inclusive and innovative;
• make the introduction of young people to golf fun;
• demonstrate how it will enhance Skills for Life learning and inspire its young people.'
