StreetGames is pleased to support the new Children’s #Right2Food Charter. The pledge agreement, unveiled as part of the ‘Children’s Future Food Inquiry’ final report – released on Thursday 25th April - calls for a number of collaborative actions designed to tackle food insecurity amongst UK children. The 5 core themes call for action on everything from food availability to junk food marketing, as well as the creation of a new, independent ‘Children’s Food Watchdog’ to spearhead these efforts.

Unveiled as part of a special launch event in Westminster, featuring CFFI ambassador Dame Emma Thompson, alongside a selection of Young Food Ambassadors, the new report outlines the challenges and opportunities presented by this mounting issue.

Having established the successful #FitandFed scheme to tackle many of these same issues, StreetGames is delighted to pledge its support for the charter, and to continue its work to end food poverty and holiday hunger, in particular.
