Benson Community Project exists in the heart of Smethwick, run predominantly by Paul Landucci, his family and a team of volunteers. For a number of years they have supported their community and surrounding areas in a variety of ways, earning
plaudits and awards along the way. During the coronavirus pandemic this year, low income families faced additional
lifestyle challenges and increased barriers to sport and healthy living.

Aided by StreetGames, Benson were able to access funding from Sport England’s Tackling Inequalities Fund. This has helped
them to react accordingly to the effects of the pandemic, providing regular sports sessions three times a week (when
possible around lockdowns), primarily football and cycling but always offering something for everyone with a multisport
