Eriona is a young coach at Pro Touch Academy, a London-based community sports organisation that provides help, support and encouragement to potential young, gifted and talented football players as well as offering a wide range of activities and services for young people and families in the local community.

Throughout lockdown, Pro Touch Academy and organisations like it up and down the country have been a quiet frontline in the fight to support vulnerable families. Young people in disadvantaged communities have been hit hard by the pandemic, with many trapped in overcrowded housing, with limited private space, and reduced access to normal support structures.

Groups like Pro Touch have been doing incredible work during lockdown, switching from playing sport to supporting families with food and activity packs, and being there for young people when things got tough. But these efforts have been sustained by incredible volunteers who have given up their time to help with this vital work.

Eriona has seen first-hand how many ordinary people have been doing extraordinary things to help their friends and neighbours. She wants to thank everyone who’s been there for a young person when they needed that boost, and every neighbour who’s gone that extra mile to make life a little bit easier.

Let’s help Eriona make Sunday 4th July a great big thank-you party where we all get together, say thank you to everyone who helped, and look forward to better times ahead! The more people who support this, the bigger we can make it, and even get the government and local councils to join in.

Please help Eriona idea go national! Please show your support by signing up below, and pass it on to your friends. #thankyouday
