Live Job

Trustee

We are the people beside the people who change lives and communities through sport. Can you help by becoming a member of our Board of Trustees?

Who are we looking for?

Our trustees are volunteer board members who set the strategic direction, provide advice and ensure the charity’s work continues to advance its strategic objectives.

Previous board/trustee experience is not necessary. We welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds. StreetGames has a target of gender parity on our Board and we would therefore particularly welcome applications from women. We are committed to increasing representation and broader diversity of individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds and individuals with disabilities, as well diversity of thought and lived experience.

Additionally, we would like to add representation from groups that we serve as a charity e.g. individuals from or who grew up in low-income families.

Our new Trustees will ideally have skills in one or more of the following areas:

  • Welfare and Safeguarding
  • Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
  • Audit
  • Health
  • Political Influencing
  • PR and Media
  • Income Generation
  • Sport Improving Lives

What’s in it for you?

  • The chance to transform young people’s lives through sport
  • Opportunities to make strategic decisions and develop new skills
  • Influence to shape innovative projects
  • Induction, training and support

Reimbursable expenses (travel and accommodation bookings may also be made on your behalf)

A Trustee would normally serve an initial term of 4 years with the potential to be re- appointed for a further 4 years. The expected time commitment is 4 Board meetings per year held in person in London, Manchester or Cardiff on rotation (virtual attendance is available) and 3 virtual meetings, one full day strategy away day and some committee work plus a review meeting with the Chair and appropriate preparation time to fully participate in these meetings.
