Since 2018, the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme has played a vital role in ensuring children and young people in underserved communities have happy, healthy holidays.
HAF is designed to help participants:
- Stay active over the school holidays
- Eat healthily and expand their knowledge of health and nutrition
- Develop their resilience, character and wellbeing along with their wider educational attainment through engaging and enriching activities
- Have a safe environment to go to, preventing social isolation
- Become more engaged with their school and other local services
As a major partner in the HAF programme since its inception, we are proud to support community partners to provide healthy, active and fulfilling experiences and bridge the inequality gap.
Our HAF programmes
We coordinate the HAF programmes in Birmingham, Derbyshire and Newcastle, as well as supporting other programmes across the country through training, resources, events and more.
