HAF

We are proud to be a major partner in the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme – co-ordinating and delivering programmes across the country to provide healthy, active and fulfilling holidays for the children and young people who need them most.

Since 2018, the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme has played a vital role in ensuring children and young people in underserved communities have happy, healthy holidays.

HAF is designed to help participants:

  • Stay active over the school holidays
  • Eat healthily and expand their knowledge of health and nutrition
  • Develop their resilience, character and wellbeing along with their wider educational attainment through engaging and enriching activities
  • Have a safe environment to go to, preventing social isolation
  • Become more engaged with their school and other local services

As a major partner in the HAF programme since its inception, we are proud to support community partners to provide healthy, active and fulfilling experiences and bridge the inequality gap.

Our HAF programmes

We coordinate the HAF programmes in Birmingham, Derbyshire and Newcastle, as well as supporting other programmes across the country through training, resources, events and more.

We’ve had a couple of kids that are very isolated, they didn’t want to come to the sessions with their parents. And now as soon as they get here, they’re just running around and having fun. This has really created a purpose for them and they can’t wait to come and do some more sports with us.

It’s great to see the parks being used. The kids had a great time and it gets them off their screens and outside playing games all day. The lunch was good too!
