Your Game, Your Opportunity

StreetGames connects you to the resources, inspiration, and real-life stories that bring the power of sport and physical activity to life. By showcasing how others have grown in confidence, skills, and wellbeing through getting active, we want to inspire you to find your own path to feeling good and getting involved.

  • Ask teachers or youth workers in your area.
  • Check school or community notice boards.
  • Follow local social media pages for community hubs.
  • Ask friends who already take part.
  • Search for ‘Sports participation opportunities in my local area’.
  • Find opportunities through your Active Partnership.

Leadership and Volunteering

We are passionate about creating opportunities for all young people to volunteer.

Our approach creates opportunities for you to gain new experiences, take responsibility, be challenged, receive training and mentoring, and earn new qualifications.

We believe that leadership and volunteering thrive when they’re built on the FABS principles: Fun, Altruistic, providing a sense of Belonging, and offering Self-development.

These values shape positive experiences for everyone involved and help create meaningful opportunities to grow and give back.

Having been awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Volunteering Award in 2012, we have continued to grow our volunteer impact year on year, creating more opportunities for young people to try new sports and activities, develop skills, go to new places and meet new people – and were delighted to be awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Volunteering Award in 2022.
