We are proud to have worked with Neurodiverse Sport to develop new resources to help community organisations provide positive support to neurodiverse young people.
With findings from our 1,000 Young Voices research showing that 29% of young people identified as neurodivergent, our community partners highlighted a need for a deeper understanding of neurodiversity to better support their young people.
To address this, we partnered with Neurodiverse Sport to explore the needs of neurodivergent young people and identify effective approaches to support them. Working alongside young people, community organisations, coaches, leaders and experts from charities, National Governing Bodies and professional sports organisations, we developed a shared understanding of what good neuroinclusive practice looks like.
These infographics are designed to provide a digestible introduction and practical tips around a range of individual topics relating to neurodiversity and community sport.
Neurodiverse Sport have also transformed the insights from this project into a free online course, giving community organisations and practitioners the tools and confidence to make sport more neuroinclusive. The course is available now and can be accessed free of charge.
