The workshop will provide volunteers, young people, youth & community workers and community sports coaches and leaders with game ideas, basic rules and fun ways to introduce volleyball to young people in their local community.
The Go Spike Activator Award has been developed by StreetGames in partnership with Volleyball England. Leaders combine their existing coaching and leadership skills and experience with the games and challenges in the workshop to learn how to engage young people in volleyball for the first time.
Aims of the workshop:
- Understand Go Spike Volleyball and the fundamental skills needed to play
- Deliver Go Spike activities to groups of young people
- Understand and apply basic rules for informal Go Spike games
- Organise Go Spike challenges and social competitions
Who is it for: Community sport project leaders, coaches and volunteers.
Additional Information: It offers the chance to build on skills previously gained through courses such as Sports Leaders UK Level 1, 2 and 3 awards; national governing bodies of sport awards; and youth and community qualifications.

Starting Your Fundraising Journey

Race for Investment
This course is designed to offer sports clubs and community organisations (with little or no bid writing experience) hands-on support, advice and guidance. The aim is that each organisation writes a funding bid and submits with support. If you are brand new to fundraising or have not been successful with funding applications this is the course for you.
