Gender Inclusivity Survey – Club and Community Buildings

The Gender Inclusivity Survey uses information and insight to create recommendations that help club and community buildings become more welcoming and inclusive for girls and young women.

Participation among young women and girls remains significantly lower than among boys and young men, and we know that girls and young women face a range of specific barriers to participating more fully.

At StreetGames, youth voice is central to everything we do. The Gender Inclusivity Survey provides an opportunity for the voices of young females to be heard, helping to break down barriers and create positive change for others in their communities.

The survey uses the information and insight provided to create recommendations that help club and community buildings become more welcoming and inclusive for girls and young women.

To take part, an organisation should select a small group of girls or young women who regularly attend their activity session, who will complete the survey which covers themes such as feelings on entering, belonging, staffing, activities offered, and youth voice. The session leader/coach will enter their email at the start and will receive the results immediately after the survey is submitted. Session leaders/coaches can analyse the results themselves, but also go back to the group for a further conversation if they want to explore more about their answers.

Please note that the results of the survey are recommendations only.

If you have any questions around the survey, or would like some support/guidance following completion, please contact your local StreetGames representative or email Sam Barton.
