The Challenge
Access to sport isn’t equal. Young people in low-income areas face barriers of cost, location, timing and style of provision—leading to persistently lower participation despite strong demand. StreetGames exists to bridge this sporting inequality gap.
Vision, Mission & Impact
-
Vision: Healthier, Safer, More Successful Communities Through Sport.
-
Mission: To transform the lives of young people in low-income, under-served communities through sport and physical activity.
-
Impact: Changing sport, strengthening communities, transforming lives.
What is Doorstep Sport?
An evidence-based model that adapts traditional sports to non-traditional, hyper-local settings—chosen with young people and underpinned by the “Five Rights”: right time, place, style, people and price. It builds confidence, competence and life skills, offering positive pathways and a pro-social identity. Youth leadership is central, and two-thirds of participants play no other sport locally—so this offer truly matters.
