1,000 Young Voices Bradford is a community-led research project created to hear directly from young people across Bradford about sport and physical activity. It provides an opportunity for young people to share their experiences, concerns, aspirations, inspirations and the role models that influence them to be active.
By listening to young people’s thoughts, feelings and ideas, we want to ensure they have a genuine voice in shaping the future of physical activity within their local communities. Their insights will help us to:
- Share lived experiences and highlight the issues that matter most to them
- Influence local decisions around funding, opportunities and resources
- Shape a more inclusive Active Bradford that reflects the needs, experiences and ambitions of young people and their communities

About the partners
StreetGames
StreetGames is a UK charity on a mission to bring sport to young people’s doorsteps.
Sport has the power to make young people safer, happier and healthier, but low-income households and under-served communities often miss out.
Together with our network of 1,600 community partners, we’re providing equal opportunities through sport.
Active Bradford
Active Bradford is a charity committed to making Bradford a healthier and more prosperous place to live and work, where physical activity is an everyday part of everyone’s lives.
Partners come together through Active Bradford to collectively deliver Every Move Counts! our physical activity strategy for the district. We promote physical activity across the system, through campaigns and communications and influence decision makers on the role sport and physical activity can play in broader strategic plans.
