About the role
The role of the Training Academy Tutor is to deliver a range of the StreetGames Training Academy’s non-accredited workshops and activators including specialist courses such as ACE’s and trauma informed, Mental Health, Impact of Sport on Youth Crime and ASB and Safeguarding. Tutors will be required to deliver in a range of classroom and sporting settings within underserved communities, and to learners with a range of previous educational experiences.
They will tailor delivery to the individual needs of each group of learners, using their knowledge of teaching, coaching & learning styles to create an environment which removes potential barriers to learning.
They will require a blend of interpersonal, youth work and sport specific knowledge and will be responsible for sharing best practice for engaging, supporting and developing the sporting and personal skills of young people in disadvantaged areas.

Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an experienced and passionate trainer, coach or educator who is committed to helping others develop their skills and confidence. You’ll hold a recognised teaching or tutoring qualification, along with up-to-date training in areas such as safeguarding and first aid. You’ll have experience delivering engaging learning in a variety of settings, including sports coaching and leadership programmes, and be confident adapting your approach to meet the needs of different learners.
You’ll understand the power of sport and physical activity to create positive change, particularly in underserved communities. Experience of coaching, leading community sport projects, mentoring young people or coaches, and supporting learners through individual development plans would be highly valued. You’ll also be organised and detail-oriented, with experience maintaining accurate learner records and tracking progress.
Most importantly, you’ll be an excellent communicator and facilitator who can inspire and engage a diverse range of learners. You’ll be able to create safe, supportive and learner-centred environments where people feel valued and motivated to succeed. Innovative, reflective and self-motivated, you’ll be comfortable managing your own workload, using Microsoft Office applications, and always working in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and adults.
