StreetGames Launches 3-Year Partnership with City Bridge Foundation to Empower Local Doorstep Sport Organisations

StreetGames is thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with City Bridge Foundation, London’s biggest independent charity funder, that will run for the next three years.

This collaboration will enable StreetGames to support 150 community organisations to grow their capacity and capability, making them even more effective at delivering sport and physical activity to transform lives of children and young people.

Focusing on community organisations based in or working across Brent, Tower Hamlets, and Lambeth, this partnership aligns with StreetGames’ mission to harness the power of sport to change lives and strengthen communities. By providing organisations with the tools and support they need to grow, the programme will help them deliver high-quality Doorstep Sport initiatives that offer accessible, inclusive, and locally relevant opportunities for young people in underrepresented areas.

Mark Lawrie OBE, StreetGames CEO commented: “This generous three-year grant from City Bridge Foundation will have a huge impact on our ability to support community organisations working in some of London’s most underserved areas. By investing in the growth and sustainability of these organisations, this partnership will help ensure that more young people can benefit from life-changing opportunities through sport. We are incredibly grateful to City Bridge Foundation for recognising the value of this work and for their commitment to helping local communities thrive.”

Paul Martinelli, City Bridge Foundation chair, said: We’re delighted to be able to support the work of StreetGames and the organisations they fund to empower children and young people to enjoy the benefits of sport and physical activity.

“This project will align their expertise with the grassroots knowledge of community organisations across the three boroughs, helping to deliver a physical and mental health boost to thousands of young people.”
