Course duration: 3 hours
Minimum age: 16
The workshop will provide volunteers, young people, youth & community workers and community sports coaches and leaders with game ideas, basic rules and fun ways to introduce volleyball to young people in their local community.
The Go Spike Activator Award has been developed by StreetGames in partnership with Volleyball England. Leaders combine their existing coaching and leadership skills and experience with the games and challenges in the workshop to learn how to engage young people in volleyball for the first time.
By the end of the workshop attendees will be able to: understand Go Spike Volleyball and the fundamental skills needed to play; deliver Go Spike activities to groups of young people; understand and apply basic rules for informal Go Spike games; and organise Go Spike challenges and social competitions.
Who is it for: Community sport project leasers, coaches and volunteers.
