The Us Girls Alive! programme helps the young female volunteers to make sure the sessions are welcoming, fun places to be. Known as ‘motivators’, the volunteers organise health and wellbeing sessions that include talking through the issues of the day as well as sport, exercise and physical activities.

The programme is funded the Department of Health’s Health and Social Care Volunteering Fund. 120 volunteers run 30 Us Girls Alive clubs across England.

There are now opportunities for more organisations to host an Us Girls Alive! club. The support package includes motivator and leader training, session plans, marketing materials, and merchandise.
