Doorstep Sport Advisors (DSAs) play an integral role in supporting StreetGames’ mission of ‘changing lives, changing communities, changing sport’. These individuals provide essential front-line connectivity, supporting locally trusted organisations and partners to maximise the impact of sport. This specific DSA role will focus on the StreetGames’ work funded through the Healthy and Active Fund to engage inactive families across 7 Local Authorities (Bridgend, Merthyr, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Newport, Blaenau Gwent, and Torfaen) in South Wales.

StreetGames is looking for individuals with experience of working in sport, youth, or community development. Candidates should also have experience working with disadvantaged communities and the skills to be able to support organisations, bringing them together to work towards a common goal. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and people management skills as well as being solution-focused. The individual should possess a good knowledge of how to effectively design programmes for people living in lower socio-economic communities using sport to contribute to wider social outcomes.

We are offering a contract equivalent to 0.1f/t (Half day per week) until March 31st, 2020 with potential scope to extend. This contract proposes a flexible approach and should fit into the applicant’s other commitments.  Doorstep Sport Advisors will be paid £150 per day exclusive of expenses.  Secondment opportunities will also be considered.
